Lead a rich life

Being rich means different things to different people. To a family that lives on $100.00 per month in one of the poor countries, a middle class American or European family that lives on $3,000.00 per month is a very rich family. Yet, a middle class family doesn’t see itself as rich, because they compare themselves to their wealthy neighbors that live on $20,000.00 per month.  If you ask these wealthy neighbors if they are rich, most of them will tell you that they are not rich: “ Bill Gates is rich, not us, there are so many things that we can’t afford”.

Being rich is a state of mine.

You can see yourself as rich or poor regardless of how much money you have. If you constantly think about money, how much you have, how much you need, are you going to lose it, how can you make more, you are very poor. If you are grateful for what you have, enjoy it and share it, you are very rich.

You can be rich with whatever amount of money you have.

Love yourself and people around you. Pamper yourself, let yourself enjoy things that are priceless, and things that are pricey. Share with those around you, it will make you feel rich. People will share with you too. You feel safe when you are among people that can rely on each other. There is a saying: “ Everything you give will find countless ways back to you”. (Everything means the good and the bad)

Learn to manage your money.

¨
Don’t spend more than you make.

¨ Don’t buy things you don’t need, just because they are on sale, shop smart. It is better to buy one pare of shoes that you really like and that are good quality, than two pairs of cheap shoes that you will not use, or that will fall apart.

¨ Don’t buy things because your friends have them, or because they are popular.

¨ Spend your money on what makes you happy, not on what makes you popular.

Make as much money as you need.

Making money is very difficult if you are focused on money itself. You will spend your life doing what you don’t enjoy; you will feel your job as a burden. If your job is a burden to you, you will not be very good at it. If you don’t excel at your job, you can’t make a lot of money.

Making money is very easy if you are focused on what you are doing. Find your calling, something that you enjoy very much, something you always wanted to do. If you love your job, you will give it everything you have and it will not seem difficult to you. If you put all your effort in what you do, you will succeed, and money will come.

You say: “ Bill Gates is rich”. Yes he is, and he has a lot of money too. Bill Gates comes from a wealthy family. He was sent to good collage by his family to become somebody and to make a good life for himself. He went against everything he had to chase very new and very questionable ideas, to make software. Although many smart people of that time told him that he will not get far with his idea, he did not give up. He didn’t do all this for money. At the time his idea did not look very profitable. He did all this because deep in his heart he believed that he had a brilliant idea. He put all his effort into this idea, and he became somebody, and the money came.

You don’t become rich by wanting to have a lot of money. You become rich by wanting to make this world a better place.
